Betty J. Wilson, age 85, of Columbus, Ohio died early Friday morning July 31, 2020 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio.
Born September 27, 1934 in Brookville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Howard & Anna (Snapp) Jolliff. On February 5, 1977 she was united in marriage to John W. Wilson, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2009.
Betty was retired having worked at Stevens Wire in Richmond, and also at Bob Evans Restaurant. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing Bingo, and was known as Bingo Betty, having ran a charter bus service to Bingo games throughout the midwest; she also enjoyed playing cards, with 500 Rummy and Euchre being favorite games of hers.
Survivors include four daughters, Debbie (Lou) Frazier of Columbus, Ohio, Janice (Ron) Derenski of Cedar Grove, Indiana, Tammy Sherry of Columbus, Ohio and Donna Slagle of Walton, Kentucky; one son, Russell (Terry) Slagle of Columbus, Ohio; 21 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Ron) Riddle of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Joseph Slagle who died in 1999, a sister, Emma Jean Boone, three brothers, Floyd Jolliff, William E. Jolliff, and Ronald D. Jolliff Sr.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Wayne Ison will officiate the Funeral Services on Monday, August 3, 2020, 12:00 Noon, at the Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
