Bettina “Tina” “Blue” (Ison) Ison, 90, of Dillsboro passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. Tina was born on Sunday, September 2, 1934, in Whitesburg, Kentucky; daughter of Dewey and Minalee (Brown) Ison. Tina married Charlie Ison on December 27, 1952, and he survives. Tina was a member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, and cooking. Most of all Tina cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Tina will be missed by her husband Charlie Ison of Dillsboro; son Marvin (Cherie) Ison of Dillsboro; daughter Ruth (Daniel) Schaefer of Milan; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Minalee Ison; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Tina from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Tina to Milan Volunteer Fire Department or Margaret Mary Hospice.
