Batesville Wrestling Results at Milan 6-Way Meet

Milan, IN – The Bulldogs travelled to Milan on Saturday morning to compete in their 6-way meet, going 2-3 on the day with 4 weight class champions while battling and looking to make improvements as sectionals approaches quickly.

The Bulldogs opened the day beating East Central 58-21. Winning by pin were Conner Shields(150), Damien Dance(165), and Max Amberger (285), Receiving forfeits were Carson Wiler(106), Adam Dance(120), Kaden Lamping(126), Adam Brewer(132), Mason Dance(175), and Andrew Jones(215). Also winning was Alex Krekeler(190) with a 9-1 major decision.

The second round the Bulldogs lost to Madison 53-30. Adam Brewer, Damien Dance, Andrew Jones, and Max Amberger won by pin while Carson Weiler received and forfeit.

The Bulldogs won in the third round with a 58-12 victory over New Washington. Winning by pin were Jacob Starost(138), Damien Dance, and Max Amberger. Receiving forfeits were Carson Weiler, Adam Dance, Kaden Lamping, Conner Shields, Alex Krekeler, and Andrew Jones. Adam Brewer earned a 9-0 major decision in his match.

The Fourth round the Bulldog dropped a close battle 43-36 against Southwestern. Winning by pin were Carson Weiler, Andrew Jones, and Max Amberger. Receiving forfeits were Adam Brewer, Damien Dance, and Alex Krekeler.

The final round Batesville lost to Milan 57-20. Damien Dance and Max Amberger won by pin while Adam Brewer won with a 17-1 tech and Carson Weiler won with a 7-0 decision.

The Bulldogs finish the season at an even .500, 13-13 dual record. Saturday, they will travel to Franklin County for IHSAA Sectionals!
