Batesville boys tennis won the New Castle Invitational on Saturday with wins over Blue River Valley and the host Trojans.
The Bulldogs defeated BRV’s Vikings 4-1 to advance to the championship round against New Castle.
#1 Singles – Jevan Smith defeated Brody Jarvis 6-1, 6-2.
#2 Singles – Carson Meyer defeated Grant B. 6-1, 6-4.
#3 Singles – Max Walter defeated Parker U. 6-1, 6-0.
#1 Doubles – Will Patterson & Wes Peters defeated Nolan R./Evan B. 6-1, 6-2.
#2 Doubles – Eli Doll & Coleman West lost to Jackson J./Garrett M. 3-6, 5-7.
BHS topped the Trojans 4-1 to claim the title.
#1 Singles – Jevan Smith defeated Cameron Hastings 6-4, 7-5.
#2 Singles – Carson Meyer defeated Cormac Stilwell 6-1, 6-3.
#3 Singles – Max Walter lost to Scott Gilman 5-7, 3-6.
#1 Doubles – Will Patterson & Wes Peters defeated Dylan Blackford & Kaeson Amman 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.
#2 Doubles – Eli Doll & Coleman West defeated Braiden Denney & Kade Siewert 6-4, 7-5.
The Bulldogs improve to 3 and 1 and will entertain Richmond on Tuesday evening.
