Batesville Middle School Golf team traveled to Madison to a Par 3 course on Saturday and finished 6th out of 16 teams.
Ross Harmeyer was top scorer for the team and finished the day with a 69, Meredith McCreary 75, Cole Mobley 82, Andy Gutzwiller, 82, and Sam Bowman 85. Meredith McCreary placed 3rd overall in the girls division with her 75.
‘We exceeded expectations at our meet on Saturday in Madison. We were missing some of our best golfers, but I was pleasantly surprised with our first-timers at the course Cole Mobley, Sam Bowman, and Andy Gutzwiller who all played very well in spurts. I know Sam commented to me that he was tired on his back 9 as I imagine the rest of you were. Meredith placed 3rd overall in the girls division to receive a plaque and Ross Harmeyer was our top scorer of the day hitting a 69. I think we finished 6th out of 16 teams which is very solid.
