The Bulldogs jumped out to an 11-0 lead and cruised to victory. The Bulldogs held the Eagles to 16% shooting on solid defensive pressure and won the rebound battle 37-23. All 9 players cracked the scoring column for the squad. Leading the way offensively for Batesville was Brendan Heiser with 10, Gus Prickel 9, Chris Lewis 8, Jack Grunkemeyer 4, Bradley Wirth 4, Jonathan Buschle 3, Conner Drake 2, Sam Johnson 2, and Noah Pierson 2. Drake and Grunkemeyer each had 6 rebounds and Lewis tallied 4 assists.

In a physical contest from the outset, the Bulldogs were able to overcome 27% shooting by outrebounding the Trojans 29-20 and hit some clutch shots down the stretch. Conner Drake had a huge rebound basket with under two minutes to play to give the Bulldogs the lead for good and Jack Grunkemeyer hit 3 of 4 free throws to ice the game in the final seconds. Chris Lewis led Batesville with 11 points, Grunkemeyer 6, Drake 4, Johnson 2, Prickel 2, Buschle 2 and Wirth 1. Grunkemeyer was a horse on the boards with 8 rebounds.
