
On the boys side, Greenburg was the Conference Champions with a score of 38 points. East Central was 2nd with 58 points, Batesville 3rd at 68 points, just outscoring Rushinville with 70 points. Connersville took 5th with 124 points. East Central’s Bradyn Hatton was named the MVP of the boys race, crossing the finish line first in a time of 16:53. The Bulldogs had 3 individuals in the top 15 and named All-Conference. They were: Jake Chapman came in 3rd (17:03-PR), Isaac Trossman was 11th (17:49-PR) and Cannon Clark was 14th (18:01-PR). Just missing out on the top 15 was Eli Loichinger in the 19th spot (18:18-season PR). Next for the Dogs was Paxton Harris in 23rd (18:42-PR) with Deev Ranka close behind in 28th (18:55-PR). Finishing out the top 7 for the boys was Cash Myers, placing 34th (19:43).
Although there weren’t team points or awards for the JV, the girls had 6 in the race and the boys had 2. Six of those 8 ran a personal best. Leading the way for the girls was freshman Bayleigh Demaree placing 5th, followed by Sam Adams in 7th and Isabel Raab right behind her in 8th. Next was Madison Rahschulte, 10th, Ella Moster 11th and Shanna Smith in 15th. Bayleigh, Sam, Isabel and Ella all ran a personal best. For the boys it was Benjamin Adams leading the way placing 3rd and Ethan Rahschulte was 9th, both running personal bests.
Batesville has a busy week next week as they will host another meet on Tuesday, their Batesville Invitational. This will also be senior night for the 4 of the Dogs. We will be honoring Ava Hanson, Sophie Myers, Madison Rahschulte and Hope Kroen. Come out and cheer on your Bulldogs. Action will begin at 5:30. They will also travel to Greensburg on Thursday for the Greensburg Invitational. This will also be their last meet of the regular season.
