(Batesville, IN) – Batesville City Council approved an amendment to the food truck ordinance on second reading Monday night.
It allows mobile food vendors to obtain a one-day permit – without the cost of a filing fee – but requires them to have an agreement with a non-profit to share at least 5% of revenue when teaming up for events.
Food trucks are also required to submit verification of revenue sharing with non-profits.
The food truck ordinance was originally approved by council in 2023.
