Batesville canine officer alerts to drugs during traffic stop

Batesville, In. — A Batesville police canine officer alerted police to drugs during a routine traffic stop Monday.

A report from the Batesville Police Department says canine officer Jinx helped police recover methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia from a car driven by William Messer, 37, of Versailles.

Messer was transported to the Ripley County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
