The Batesville boys 8th grade basketball team hosted the Greendale Middle School Tigers last night. The Bulldogs played some great defense in the game which led to them winning by a score of 43 to 24. The score at half was 22 to 16 with the Dogs holding the lead. After halftime the Bulldogs opened up their lead by scoring 15 points in the 3rd quarter, most of which came from the defensive pressure applied by the Dogs. Scoring in the contest for the Bulldogs were Kamryn Holcomb with 14 points, James Hughes 7, Rylan Yeager 6, Braydin Hughes 6, Caleb Laker 4, Carson Hartley 4, and Isaac Weber 2.The win brings the Bulldogs record on the season to 9 wins and 1 loss. The Dogs next play this Saturday in The Reindeer Round-Up Tournament at Waldron High School.
