Batesville’s 8th grade volleyball team topped a talented South Ripley Raider squad 25-22, 25-19 on Tuesday. BMS coach Shelly Prickel said her girls maintained composure and rallied from behind to take set one, then carried the momentum into set two with even more aggressive play.
“Addison Luers provided a huge offensive spark for the team scoring an impressive 18 points including 7 aces while connecting on all 21 of her service attempts,” reported Prickel. “Reesa Zimmerman chipped in 4 service points and led the team with 6 kills in 17 swings at the net. Ava Walsman and Luers each chipped in with 3 kills while Ava Hilbert and Grace Walter had 2 kills a piece. Addi Froehling had a timely kill in set 1 to help secure the win.”
We thank coach Prickel for the information.
