(Blooming Grove, IN) – An Aurora woman was killed when her vehicle collided with a deer at the intersection of State Road 1 and Davis Road in Blooming Grove Sunday night.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrived on the scene around 9 p.m. and located a maroon Dodge Ram pickup and the vehicle operator Jacqueline Korb still in the driver’s seat.
The preliminary investigation indicates Korb’s truck was southbound when a vehicle heading in the opposite direction struck a deer, which went airborne and crashed through her windshield.
Korb was pronounced dead at the scene.
Franklin County Deputy Dakota Hunstman led the investigation. Assisting agencies were the Blooming Grove Fire Department, Franklin County Coroner’s Office, and Letts EMS.
