Area Archers Participating At State Tourney In Indianapolis

The area schools Archery Clubs including Batesville have an exciting weekend ahead of them! 50 archers will be competing in the 2021 Indiana National Archery in the Schools Program state tournament in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 13th. 26 middle school archers and 24 high school archers qualified for the state tournament based on their average scores from each tournament this school year.

There are 107 archers in the self-funded club this school year, coached by Mike Weiler and Jeff Day. They have faced unique challenges due to COVID restrictions, such as fewer tournaments and reduced practice sizes for the 107 archers. Despite these challenges, they have practiced two times per week and have started daily practices leading up to the state tournament.

Follow nasptournaments.org for the results of the tournament.

Good luck to all middle school and high school archers of the Batesville Archery Club at state!

And a huge thanks to the Coaches for the time and dedication to the program!
