Anthony ‘Tony’ Wayne Keith Sr.

Anthony Wayne Keith Sr.,63 of Batesville, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Hospice of Cincinnati. On August 6, 1958 he was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Bonnie Lee and Elizabeth Louise (Sandlan) Keith.

In 1976 Tony graduated from East Central High & Southeastern Indiana Vocational Schools. He married Dian ‘Di’ Snyder at Smyrna Baptist Church in New Trenton, IN in 1977. Together they opened a salon in Harrison called Tony & Di’s. Tony was honored to serve on the Platform of Artistry for Hair with Paul Mitchell and Matrix Co. He also volunteered his time serving as a leader for several church youth groups.

Most knew that Tony loved his fashion and that you ‘had to look good going out the door’ but music was another important part of Tony’s life. In his early years he loved to dance and sing. Over time he used his beautiful voice to sing with many church choirs. When the grandchildren learned how, he loved listening to them play music too.

Later in life Tony discovered how much he enjoyed his grandchildren. One of his favorite things was watching AFV (the animals) with his grandson Walker.  But most of all he loved being with his family, especially his precious grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Di of Batesville; sons, Tony (Andrea) Keith of Fairfield, OH and Andy (Alicia) Keith of Batesville; grandchildren, Dallas, Jasmin & Walker Keith and Alexis Keith; father, Bonnie Keith of New Haven, OH; his brothers Kennith Lee Keith and Robert Edward Keith along with 6 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews plus brothers-in-law, John (Tina) Snyder, Walter Snyder and Jimmy (Betty) Snyder.

In addition to his mother Elizabeth Keith, he is preceded in death by his brother Chester Allen Keith.

Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville and Tuesday, April 19th from 9:30-10 at Adams Lutheran Church in Batesville before funeral services begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials can be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital by bringing to the services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
