Andrew Abbott shines in MLB pitching debut as Reds end 4-game skid

Andrew Abbott kicked off his MLB career on a high note helping the Cincinnati Reds earn a 2-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night. In his big league pitching debut, Abbott struck out 6, walked 4, and allowed just 1 hit in 6 innings of work to earn the win.

Home Runs by Stuart Fairchild in the third and Tyler Stephenson in the fourth gave Cincinnati the run support they needed to snap their 4-game losing streak.

Alexis Diaz recorded his 14th save of the season, striking out the side in the ninth.

Today, the Reds begin a 3-game home set with the LA Dodgers. Coverage on 103.9 WRBI begins at 6:40 this evening.
