Ammann-Brinkmoeller Athletics Hall of Fame Nominees Sought

Oldenburg Academy is soliciting nominations and accepting applications for induction into the Ammann-Brinkmoeller 2017 Athletics Hall of Fame. OASIS member and Hall of Fame organizer Mark Wilder stated “the Hall of Fame honors contributions by student-athletes, coaches, administrators and other supporters who have made broad and lasting contributions to the betterment of athletics at Oldenburg Academy.”

Criteria for induction include:

I. A nominee must have made a strong representation of OA Athletics on the playing field, in the classroom and in the community, upholding the highest degree of sportsmanship and OA values.

II. An OA athlete who later made significant contributions as a college player, coach, or administrator.

III. Candidates are not eligible until five (5) years following the completion of his/her athletic career at OA. The award may be voted posthumously.

Applications are available to nominate any 2012 graduate or older on the school’s website at www.oldenburgacademy.org, under Athletics/Hall of Fame. Re-nomination of a past nominee is permitted. The award will be presented during Homecoming events on October 14th. Each nominee’s photo and induction is framed and permanently displayed in the OA Athletics Hall of Fame.
