Almost 78,000 Hoosier are reported to have recovered from COVID-19

Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISHD) has reported that 720 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday. A total of 101,485 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 1,158,018 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at an 8.8% positive rate and 17 new deaths were reported for a total of 3,173 Hoosier deaths. 

Dearborn County has a total of 596 cases and 28 deaths reported (up 3 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 433 positive cases and 38 deaths (up 3 new cases), Franklin County has 283 positive cases and 25 deaths (up 1 new case), and Ripley County has 256 positive cases and 8 deaths (up 3 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 10 new positive cases.

During Governor Eric Holcomb’s weekly briefing it was announced that officials estimate almost 78,000 Hoosiers have recovered from COVID-19.
