Albert Broughton, a good-hearted, very polite, and kind man, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on April 30, 1941, in Knox County, Kentucky, the son of Pearl and Irene (nee Smith) Broughton, Albert lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and quiet strength.
Albert was an assembly line worker for many, many years and then retiring from General Motors, working first in Norwood, Ohio, and later in Dayton, Ohio. His steadfast commitment and hard work exemplified the dignity of labor and a strong work ethic that inspired those around him.
Beyond his career, Albert’s passions reflected a genuine love for the simple joys of nature. He cherished rabbit hunting, fishing, and raising beagles—hobbies that brought him immense happiness and connection to the world around him. These pursuits showcased the gentle and patient spirit that touched every life he encountered.
Albert married Mary Ann Bartscher on July 2, 1966. Together they shared many years of partnership. Albert was deeply loved by his family, and though Mary Ann preceded him in death, the memories of their life together remain a testament to their enduring bond.
Albert is lovingly remembered by his beloved son, Daniel (Shirley Liddington) Broughton; his granddaughter, Paige Broughton; and great-grandson, Jude Daniel Broughton. He was also a cherished brother to Franklin D. (Ruth) Broughton, and sisters Betti Jean Owens, Bonnie Fazio, Phyllis (Ken) Park, and Brenda (Dan) Martin, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and humility.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Ann (nee Bartscher) Broughton; his parents, Pearl and Irene Broughton; brothers Charles Broughton, Jerry Broughton, and Bobby Broughton along with his sisters Norma Jean Lemaster and Verna Horton. Their memories remain ever present in the hearts of those who knew Albert.

A burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Albert’s life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and love of family and the simple pleasures of life. His loss leaves a profound emptiness, but the joyful memories and lessons he imparted will remain a guiding light for all who knew him.
