May H. Shearwood, age 97, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Woodlands of Hamilton in Hamilton, Ohio.
Born July 21, 1918 in Butler County, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harry & Ola (Cleaver) Hillman. She moved with her family to Drewersburg, Indiana in 1920, where she lived until 1944; having graduated from the former Whitewater High School with the class of 1936. She then attended Littleford-Nelson Business College in Cincinnati, Ohio and thereafter went to work for the U.S. Veterans Administration in Cincinnati and later worked for Ford Motor Company.
On June 3, 1944 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert Shearwood, and they enjoyed 41 beautiful years together until he was stricken by cancer and died on April 18, 1985. They had no children.
She is survived by several loving nieces & nephews.
Besides her parents, and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by five brothers, William F. Hillman, Marion (Brownie) Hillman, Eugene Hillman, Merritt (Boob) Hillman, Marshall H. Hillman, and a sister who died at the age of 2.

Rev. Curtis Bond, pastor of the Brookville United Methodist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
