The Batesville High School wrestling team traveled to Connersville for the annual Spartan Classic. This event was held over two days with 32 teams competing from around the state.
The Bulldogs sent nine athletes to wrestle and two of them advanced to the placing rounds. Michael Deal wrestled in the 132 lb class winning 4 of 6 matches with 3 pins ending the day in 4th place. Jon Kurtz wrestled in the 220 lb class winning 3 of 6 matches with 3 pins finishing the day in 6th place.
As a team the bulldogs faced off against some great competition gaining valuable experience. The team ended the tournament in 21st place.
