INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Excise Police are looking to curb criminal activity and suspicious behavior on college campuses.
Officers will be increasing late night and early morning patrols around the state’s university and college campuses beginning this weekend.
Excise police would also like to remind students of Indiana’s Lifeline Law. This law provides immunity for certain alcohol-related offenses for someone who calls for medical assistance for someone else or report a sexual assault, and then remains at the scene and cooperates with authorities.
The priority is to get medical care and emergency assistance to those in need of it, regardless of the circumstances.
