JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. – A North Vernon man was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a home in Jefferson County Sunday.
State troopers responded to a burglary complaint on CR 700W in Dupont where they determined jewelry and firearms were taken from the home.
Investigators say they later determined Michael Vance, 26, of North Vernon as a suspect.
Troopers went to a home in the 700 block of Buckeye Street in North Vernon on Monday morning. A search of a vehicle at the property led police to locating some items that were allegedly stolen.
The investigation further led police to a pawn shop in Louisville, Kentucky where other items were located.
Vance was arrested and transported to Jefferson County Jail on suspicion of Burglary of a dwelling, a Level 3 Felony.
Investigators say Vance will also face felony charges in Jennings County for possession of stolen property and possession of a syringe.
