LIBERTY, Ind. – A rising country music artist will perform at the Union County Harvest Fest in Liberty Friday.
Corey Cox began pursuing music seriously at age 20 and has since found quite a bit of success. The Anderson, Indiana native spends most of his time on the road honing the craft and making a name for himself in the music industry.
“I definitely want to continue touring as a band and playing shows,” Cox says. “That has always been something I strongly believe in to have success in the business.”
Traveling thousands of miles along busy interstates and dark highways has certainly paid off so far. Cox has shared the stage with Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, and Chris Young at music venues, tours, rodeos, fairs and festivals across the country.
“It’s funny to me, because when I was a kid I never really had any musical abilities that I knew of at the time. So, I never had really any early dreams of doing this.
“I guess everything that has happened I kind of take it in stride. Sometimes it takes a while to really sink in. Everything is just fun to me because nothing was expected. Everything has come as a surprise and I am just grateful for everything.”
His newest single “Wake Up Drunk” was released in August.
The Union County Harvest Fest is held on the Courthouse Square in Liberty.
