HOLTON, Ind. – A 71-year-old man was flown to the hospital after a farming accident on his property Tuesday afternoon.
State Troopers were called to a property in the 4900 block of West C.R. 600S near Holton in reference to the accident around 3:50 p.m.
Authorities say Robert Simmons was changing a battery on his tractor. When Simmons attempted to start the tractor it began to roll, running over the man and dragging him approximately 50 feet.
Simmons was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville with multiple lacerations and possible internal injuries.
His current condition was not immediately released and the incident remains under investigation.
