The Reds started the second half of the season by doubling up the New York Mets 8-4 at Citi Field in a game heard last night on WRBI. Cincinnati clubbed four home runs – two came off the bat of Austin Hays. Matt McLain and Tyler Stephenson also also homered. Nick Lodolo pitched 7 innings and gave up 4 hits, 2 earned runs, one walk and 7 strikeouts to get the win. Lodolo retired 17 of the last 19 batters he faced. His record improves to 7-6. The middle game of the series is this afternoon. Nick Martinez gets the start for the Reds. He’ll be opposed by Clay Holmes. Airtime is at 4 p.m. on 103.9 FM.

WNBA All-Star festivities got underway in downtown Indianapolis last night. Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty won the 3-Point Contest. Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull, who subbed for injured teammate Caitlin Clark, had 20 points in front of the home crowd but did not advance to the finals. Ionescu’s Liberty teammate Natasha Cloud won the Skills Challenge. The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game tips off tonight at 8:30 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

IndyCar is North of the Border this weekend and will race through the streets of Toronto. Colton Herta is the defending champ.
