The Batesville girls varsity basketball team secured a commanding 58-37 victory over Switzerland County, advancing their season record to 11-6.
The game started competitively, with the Pacers edging out the Bulldogs 15-14 in the first quarter. However, Batesville quickly turned the tide in the second quarter, outscoring Switzerland County 17-5 to take a 31-20 lead into halftime.
Batesville showcased a balanced offensive effort, with four players scoring in double figures. Alyson Peters led the charge with 17 points, followed closely by Marlee Obermeyer, who contributed 16. Madelyn Haskamp added 11 points, while Sophie Gesell chipped in 10.
On the boards, Haskamp dominated with 14 rebounds, while Nora Wiedeman facilitated the offense with a team-high three assists.
The Bulldogs’ teamwork and strong second quarter proved pivotal in securing the win.
