Barbara (Kaiser) Reed, of West Harrison, was born on June 14, 1963, in Connersville, a daughter to Harry and Viola Singer Kaiser. After graduating from Brookville High School, she attended Cincinnati State and received her associate degree. Barb married David Reed on November 24, 1990, at Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church and together they raised two daughters, Emily and Megan. She worked at Proctor and Gamble for 32 years in human resources and was actively involved in her community. Barb was a member of Holy Guardian Angels and St. Michael Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister, and was a board member of the Franklin County Community Foundation. In her spare time, Barb enjoyed knitting baby blankets and scarves for Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, and most of all, spending time with family and loved ones. Barb also volunteered at the Franklin County Animal Shelter walking dogs. On Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 61, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
Those surviving who will cherish Barb’s memory include her loving husband of 34 years, David Reed; daughters, Emily and Megan Reed; siblings, John Kaiser of Knightstown, IN, Stephen (Margaret) Kaiser of Lafayette, IN, Monica (Leroy) Bischoff of Brookville, IN, Maurice (Beth) Kaiser of Cedar Grove, IN, David (Cindy) Kaiser of Cedar Grove, IN, Joe (Debbie) Kaiser of West Harrison, IN, and Ken (Amy) Kaiser of Columbus, IN; and one brother-in-law, Al Krutchen, of Mission Viejo, CA. Barb is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Regina Kaiser-Kruchten; one brother, Thomas Kaiser; and one sister-in-law, Mary Alice Kaiser.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, with Rosary being recited after the visitation. Father Vincent Lampert will officiate a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels Oratory. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
