(Decatur County, IN) – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple reports recently centered around a jury duty scam.
Authorities say someone claiming to be Deputy Zachary Lohmen demands payment from people who he says missed jury duty.
The sheriff’s office says there is no one by the name of Zachary Lohman on the agency’s deputy roster.
You’re urged not to give out payment information over the phone.
Deputies say they will never contact you on the phone nor ask for personal information of any kind.
