The Oldenburg Twisters hosted the Hauser Jets on Saturday, running away with the victory, 7-1. (Full match recap below.)
First half: Adam Weber started the scoring in the first half with a shot inside the 18 at 34:34. Conner Holder made it 2-0 at 26:40 with a nice shot from the 18. Damian Brelage scored his first varsity goal with a shot in the 18 at 23:14. Jacob Hilbert scored next at 22:37 and then assisted on a goal with a pass to Conner Holder in the 18 at 21:33. Isaiah Waggoner and the defense held the Jets scoreless in the first half for a 5-0 advantage.
Second half: The Twister quickly put another goal on the board in the second half when a pass from Jacob Hilbert was headed in by Isaiah Waggoner at 37:20. Hayden Blair put the final score in for the Twisters at 32:44 with a shot from the 6. Coach Getz put in the second unit for the rest of the game and the teams played even through the last 32 minutes. Hauser scored their only goal of the game at 15:25 when Ethan House managed to get a shot in the 18 past the defense and Hayden Blair in goal
Next, the Twisters head to South Ripley to face off against the Raiders on Tuesday, September 10 at 5 PM.
