Mrs. Beverly Jane (Brown) Curlin, age, 82, born on March 28, 1942, in Borden, Indiana, passed away at 9:55 a.m on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana. The Curlin family moved to the Vevay community in 1978 where she resided until her passing. Beverly was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Paul Vernon Curlin, on April 1, 1961, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. This enduring partnership of over 62 years was blessed with two sons. Beverly dedicated 27 years of her life working in the cafeteria for the Switzerland County School Corporation, where she touched the lives of countless students and staff. She was a former member of the Vevay VFW Post #5396 Ladies Auxiliary and attended Fredonia Baptist Church in Vevay. In her spare time, Beverly enjoyed baking, canning, bowling, and watching the boats glide by on the Ohio River with Paul. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Beverly’s legacy will continue through those who knew and loved her.
Beverly will be missed by her sons, Paul Dewayne Curlin and his wife, Vicki Thomas of Vevay, IN and Jeremy “Scott” Curlin and his wife, Bec of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Stacia Rech and her husband, Steve, Gregory Curlin, and Courtney Curlin and her great-grandchildren, Shaelyn Rech and Shelby Rech.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Harold Brown; her mother, Gladys May (Grubbs) Brown Clark; her husband, Paul Vernon Curlin, died October 9, 2023; her granddaughter, Bryanna Michelle Curlin; her sister, Rose Marie (Brown) Robinson; her brother, Victor Brown and her half-brother, Raymond Edward Brown.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will be held at a later date in the Fredonia Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana.
