Mrs. Donna B. (Peak) Dennis, age 86, of Bear Branch, Indiana, entered this life on June 19, 1938 in Florence, Indiana. She was raised in Florence, Indiana and was a 1956 graduate of Patriot High School. Donna was united in marriage to Raymond Leroy Dennis on August 31, 1956 in Rising Sun, Indiana. This happy union of nearly 68 years was blessed with four children, Mark, Melisa, Mike and Marty. Donna was a wonderful homemaker and helped on the family farm. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers and working word search puzzles. Donna was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Bear Branch, Indiana since 1958. Donna passed away at 5:36 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Raymond Leroy Dennis of Bear Branch, IN; her sons and daughter, Mark Dennis and his companion, Vickie Craig of Fairview, IN, Melisa Thieman and her husband, Mike of Pleasant, IN, Mike Dennis of Fairview, IN and Myron “Marty” Dennis and his wife, Deidra of Bear Branch, IN; her grandchildren, Alicia Thieman, Angie (Chris) Hartwell, April (Kris) Hetrick, Adam (Meganmarie) Dennis, Amanda (Jared) Yoder, Anthony Dennis, Alex (Grace) Dennis, Austin (Alex Nicole) Dennis, Ashley (Isaac) Hartsburg, Avery (Noah) Reckers and Aiden (Hannah) Dennis; her 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Nina Lock of Vevay, IN and Charlene Byram of Evansville, IN and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Beck Peak, died May 22, 2002 her mother, Sallye Mae (Thomas) Peak, died February 10, 1993 and her great-grandson, Rhett James Hartsburg, died April 18, 2017.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Bear Branch, Indiana.
