Naiola Nellie Hall, age 96, was born on July 20, 1927 to Clayton and Nellie Fuller in New York. She passed away on February 6, 2024 at Margaret Mary Health.
Naiola was employed and retired from Kmart department stores years ago. She was a loving soul and befriended many people in the area. She was always making afghan blankets, Bible covers, and calendars that she often gifted to those in and around her in the community. Naiola will be sadly missed by her beloved cat Ewoo.
Naiola was married early in life to Lawrence (Larry) Tallman in upstate New York. Larry passed away in the 70’s, but he and Naiola were blessed with 14 children prior to his passing. Their family grew to include 68 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 52 great-great grandchildren, 29 great-great-great grandchildren, and one fifth generational granddaughter named Nellie was recently born. Naiola marred Paul Hall later in life.
Naiola is survived by her children, Jerry (Sheryl) Tallman, Larry (Carol) Tallman, Ellie (Kevin) Wilcox, Chickie Whiteman, Tim (Sally) Tallman, Dennis (Carol) Tallman, and Steven Tallman whom she lived with in Batesville; her brother Roger (Joann) Haven in Alaska; her sister Winnie Fuller in North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Naiola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Terry and Clifford Tallman; her daughters, Collie Mang, Carol Cole, Dale Menard, Jean Wallace, Genievive Tallman; and her brothers, Herman and Bing Fuller.
A Memorial Service for Naiola will occur on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church on the Rock in Batesville, Indiana with Pastor Roger Dean officiating. Memorials can be made to the family by mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
