A new energy plan for Indiana will be developed by June of next year.
The Indiana Office of Energy Development has started the process of creating a new energy plan for the state and will submit it to Gov. Pence in June.
Gov. Pence called for the creating of the plan to help keep energy low cost in Indiana. The governor wants the new energy plan based on using all of the state’s energy resources, improving options for energy consumers and commercializing new energy technologies.
The current plan was written seven years ago. Since the plan began, the cost of electricity for industrial consumers has increased.
