The SLS 7th grade basketball team defeated St. Michaels of Brookville Tuesday night 39-10.
Nathan Eckstein led the Cardinals in scoring along with Aidan Hornbach and Gus Kellerman contributing good all-around play coming off the bench.
The Cardinals are 10-0 on the season and play Laurel this Thursday, December 5 at SLS.

The 8th grade St. Louis Cardinal basketball team rebounded from a tough loss Monday night and played much better against St. Michael’s on Tuesday.
Despite losing 34-24, the Cardinals put forth a much better effort.
Trailing by just four points at halftime, the boys fell behind further and entered the fourth quarter down 20-14. Sparked by Baird Tuveson’s 5 fourth quarter points, the Cardinals jumped back to take a 3 point lead with less than 2 minutes remaining. St. Michael’s ultimately regained the lead after hitting all 7 free throw attempts in the final quarter.
Tuveson finished the night with a season high 11 points, hitting 3 three point baskets. Chandler Meyers added 7 points.
The Cardinals finish the week on Thursday vs. Laurel.
