Brookville, IN — The Franklin County Community School Board voted 6-0 this week to move ahead with a $5 million preliminary bond resolution.
School Board President Sharon Wesolowski was absent, so Board Vice President Rick Gill presided over the meeting.
Money from the property tax bond, which is to be paid back over five years, will be used to finance projects the school corporation has in the pipeline, such as technology upgrades, bus, vehicle, and other equipment purchases and facility improvements/renovations/upgrades.
The tax increase is 12 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
