Lady Wildcats Split Games With Lady Spartans

The Franklin County’s Varsity Softball team fell to the Connersville Spartans on Monday night by a final score of 12-5. Franklin County had several miscues throughout the game that allowed Connersville to score more runs than they should’ve and extend their lead.

The Wildcats did record nine hits in the contest, but couldn’t really string them together to result in a big inning. Here are your statistical leaders from the game for the Wildcats:

With the loss, the Wildcats now sit at 6-6 (2-2 EIAC) on the season. The Wildcats will continue their stretch of five games in five days when they take on Greensburg at home Tuesday evening. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm and the JV contest will follow the Varsity.

The Franklin County JV Softball team continued their winning streak on Monday night by defeating EIAC foe Connersville by a score of 12 – 5.

The Wildcats got behind early by allowing two runs in the first inning, but they were able to chip away and eventually take the lead in the third inning, before blowing it open in the fourth inning with seven runs.

The Wildcats had a lot of contributors in all aspects of the game Monday night, and they continue to bring a combined team effort every night.

With the victory, the JV Wildcats now sit at 7-2 (4-0 EIAC) on the season. They will now face off in another EIAC battle on Tuesday evening when they host Greensburg. Varsity starts at 5:30 pm, with the JV game following immediately after.
