Brewersville, IN — Early Monday morning, Jennings County Sheriff deputies responded to a call of an intoxicated subject in the area of Brewersville. The caller informed Jennings County Dispatch that a male subject, later identified as Brogan Vance, 25, of Brewersville, came into the caller’s residence uninvited, sat down in a chair, and fell asleep. The homeowner woke Brogan up in an attempt to make Brogan leave and a verbal altercation took place. Once Brogan left the residence, the homeowner alleges to have located a revolver pistol in the seat the Brogan had fallen asleep in.
Deputies arrived on the scene and the caller stated that he believed Brogan had gone into his own residence, which was located across the street from the caller. Deputies attempted to make contact with Brogan at that residence and were unsuccessful.
Roughly two hours later, Jennings County Dispatch received a call stating that Brogan had returned to the caller’s residence and that there was again a verbal altercation. Upon the arrival of Jennings County Deputies, they observed Brogan running back into his residence with a knife. Deputies secured a perimeter and began calling Brogan out. The Jennings County Emergency Response Team was activated and as they responded, Brogan surrendered and exited his house while complying with deputies commands.
Brogan was taken into custody and charged will allegations of Residential Entry, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, and Felon in Possession of Firearm without a Permit. Brogan is also being held on a no bond Level 4 Felony warrant out of Jefferson County.
