Southeastern, IN—Strong storms drove through Southeastern Indiana late last night and in the early morning hours. All counties in the listening area were under a severe thunderstorm warning as high winds and rain ripped through the area. Ohio and Dearborn County were under a tornado warning around 10 pm. There were multiple reports of trees down in Franklin, Ripley, and Decatur counties as well as about 615 people without power in Decatur county as well as several without power in southern Ripley County.
Once daylight cleared, the area has been assessing damage to several are businesses and homes in the region.
As of 10 am, several customers in the Decatur County and Southeastern Indiana REMC area are still experiencing power outages.
