Power outage at Lake Santee due to weather

Greensburg, IN—Decatur County REMC reported that around 10 am they have 224 members without power in the Lake Santee area. The outage was caused by heavy trees that are weighted down by the snow and ice interfering in the lines, which caught the trees and lines on fire.
Three crews are on the scene working to repair, but given the conditions and nature of the situation, the restoration time is expected to be several hours. Decatur County REMC apologizes for the inconvenience but are committed to restoring power as quickly and safely as possible.
