Ripley County, in. — About 04:40 a.m. Wednesday members of the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched as mutual aid for New Marion Volunteer Fire Department responding to the report of a fully involved residential structure fire in the area of 8300 South State Road 421.
The structure was a total loss along with a fatality. No names have been released. The fire remains under investigation.
