Batesville, In. — Batesville city officials recently renamed a reservoir portion of the city walking trail the Steve Wintz Memorial Trail. Wintz was a lifelong resident Water Department manager and longest serving city employee at the time of his death in April of 2017.
“What he did for the people of Batesville and surrounding places like Oldenburg are countless. He also had a major role in our plans to develop a future water source which will impact our city for generations,” said Mayor Mike Bettice.
