Lawrenceburg, In. — The Dearborn County Hospital and the Hoxworth Blood Center will hold a blood drive on Thursday, September 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital conference room on Wilson Creek Road in Lawrenceburg.
“We hope to see a good turnout at DCH,” stated Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth Community Relations Manager. “Local blood donations ensure that patients at 31 Greater Cincinnati area hospitals receive the lifesaving blood products they need to survive.”
Blood donors should be well hydrated, nourished and plan for the process to take about 45 minutes. Appointments can be made by calling 800-265-1515 or go to hoxworth.org/.
Donors must be at least 17-years-old (16 with parental permission), 110 pounds and in good health. Donors should wait a minimum of eight weeks between donations or 16 weeks for those who participate in automated red cell collection.
