John Henry Beneker, age 91, of Brookville, Indiana died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana.
Born September 27, 1925 in Franklin County, Indiana he was the son of the late John H. Sr. & Emma (Minneman) Beneker. On October 22, 1949 he was united in marriage to Magdalene Lamprecht, and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1994.
Mr. Beneker was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Franklin County Farm Bureau Co-Op Association. He was a retired farmer and had also drove a school bus for the Franklin County Community School Corporation for many years.
Survivors include five children and their spouses, Amy (Mike) Martino, David (Jackie) Beneker, and Ned Beneker, all of Brookville, Indiana, Beth (Ron) Maxwell of Vincennes, Indiana and Diane (Reinhard) Weiss of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Viola Hughes of Plainfield, Indiana; 10 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Magdalene, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Beneker; three brothers, Raymond, Harold, and Martin Beneker, and 5 grandchildren.
Family & friends may visit from 5 until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.
Rev. Ladona Webb, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4025 Highland Center Road, Brookville. Burial will then follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
