DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. — The National Weather Service in Indianapolis recently conducted a damage survey in the area after last week’s severe weather and has confirmed a tornado was on the ground in Southeast Decatur County.
According to the damage assessment published by the National Weather Service, an EF1 tornado touched down around 7:35 PM on Thursday approximately 2 miles northeast of Millhousen.
The tornado was on the ground for around four minutes traveling 2.8 miles and caused damage to a few farm outbuildings, destroying one of them.
Several trees were uprooted or snapped.
Estimated winds were around 95 MPH.
