Sgt. Chad Keith 5k
October 7, 2017 @ 9:00 am
The inaugural SGT. Chad Keith 5K “Run for our Troops” in October will honor the memory of a Batesville High School graduate who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Sgt. Keith was killed in action on July 7, 2003, in Baghdad, Iraq. The 2000 BHS alum served in the 2-235th Infantry, Company D. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
The 5K will be at Liberty Park in Batesville at 9 a.m. on October 7, 2017. All ages are invited to attend.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Sgt. Chad Keith Foundation, which supports scholarships for students, sends care packages to deployed troops and helps veterans and military families that are in need.
“The amount of support already from the community is amazing. I know with the continued support our event will most definitely be a huge success,” said Nikki Glutz, the sister of Sgt. Keith.
