BATESVILLE, Ind. — Mr. Paul Ketcham was introduced to the Batesville School community at Monday night’s meeting.
The school board gave recognition to several different students, teachers, and organizations for various activities and honors including a grant presented by the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Mrs. Vickie Heil was presented with a grant for $500.00.
Heil is going to use the grant money for rain barrels at the Batesville Primary School garden.
In other business, the school board had their second reading of the Neola policy updates.
The board approved the updated policies as presented.
The school board also approved to accept charitable donations.
Per school policy, the board must approve any donation totaling $500.00 or more.
There were several different donations made to the school, teachers, or organizations within the school.
The school board accepted the gifts, grants, and bequests as presented, and each will be used as requested by the donor.
The board also approved the classified benefits and compensation package.
Finally, the school board approved payment to the Indiana School Board Association for their annual membership fee in the amount of $3,900.00.
