Dolores Baudendistel

 

Dolores Baudendistel, of Brookville, was born on June 5, 1938, in Metamora, Indiana, a daughter to Steve and Ruby Combs Casteel.  She was married to Ron Baudendistel and he preceded her in death.  Dolores was employed at Dairy Cottage, Jay Garment, Campbell Hausfeld and then retired from Macy’s at Northgate Mall.  She also drove an ice cream truck for Calvin Finch.  Dolores was a member of Brookville United Methodist Church and was part of the Choir and Chime Choir.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she helped with bingo, and was an avid supporter of Franklin County Relay for Life.  Dolores loved Thomas Kincaid collectibles, enjoyed putting together puzzles, loved shopping and was a huge fan of the Dr. Martin Show on PBS.  On Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the age of 78, Dolores passed away at Arbor Trace in Richmond.      

 

Those surviving who will cherish Dolores’ memory include her sons, Rusty Baudendistel, and Ritchie (Lisa) Baudendistel, both of Brookville; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Peggy Casteel of Richmond.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nikki Sayne, and a brother, Douglas Casteel. 

 

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Pastor Curtis Bond of the Brookville United Methodist Church will officiate the funeral service at 1:00.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
