Gregory Mark Johnson, 72, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
He was born on January 7, 1954, in Batesville, Indiana, to the late Albert Oscar Johnson and Alma (Schorr) Johnson Reardon.
Gregory worked for many years as a self-employed insurance agent. He was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Parish and a 4th Degree Lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also active with the Hoosier Trail Council Boy Scouts, Friends of Camp Louis Ernst, and was proudly part of the Geezers Patrol.
Gregory is survived by his loving spouse, Cheryl (Graff) Johnson; his daughter, Angela Johnson; his sons, Byron (Julie) Johnson and Brandon Johnson; his cherished grandchildren, Waverly and Florence; his sister, Cindy Purdon; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Johnson.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 203 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
