2018 Ripley County 4-H Fair begins this weekend

Osgood, In. — Activity begins to build at the Ripley County Fairgrounds today. It’s check-in day for animals, 4-H projects, banners and scrapbooks. “Kids Corner” in the Farm Bureau Building will be open from 10 a.m. to noon.

Sunday is the Grand Opening of the Ripley County 4-H Fair at 6 p.m. on the Free Stage. Here is a list of additional events for Sunday:

  • The 4-H Horse & Pony Show at 8 a.m.
  • The Osgood Lions Club will present the Antique Tractor Pull in the grandstands at 10 a.m.
  • 4-H Poultry Sow at 3 p.m.
  • 4-H Projects open to the public at 5 p.m.

At the Grand Opening ceremony on the Free Stage the Queen, Alyssa Brinkman, and her court will be officially crowned and introduced. A 4-H Banner Parade and Style Show will be held after the ceremony.
