EC volleyball traveled to Columbus East on Saturday for our first round of sectional play.

We lost 25-11, 25-15, and 25-23 to Columbus East, who defeated Bloomington South in the finals (5 sets).

The

OA’s season ended with a sectional semifinal loss to Rising Sun in an emotional and grueling 5 game set that lasted over 2 hours.

It was a beautiful morning Saturday for the Cross Country Semi-State competition as the Batesville Bulldogs traveled to Carmel to race in which has been claimed, “the hardest Semi-State in the Nation.”

The East Central Trojans defeated The Greenwood Woodmen 41-26 in The Football Sectional Opener at Greenwood.

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Semi-States took place at Carmel.

The host Greyhounds won the respective team Semi-State crowns.

Batesville placed 14th and Greensburg 18th in the Girls Division.

Class 3A-Sectional 29 @ Franklin County.
Lawrenceburg  over South Dearborn 25-7, 25-8, 25-10.
Greensburg defeated Franklin County 25-11, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14.
Championship:  Lawrenceburg won 25-20, 25-11

Oldenburg Academy defeated a much improved South Decatur volleyball team in the first round of the Hauser Sectionals.  The Twisters won in straight sets 3-0 by the scores of 25-14, 26-24, and 25-20.

OA had
